Frequently asked questions

What data is stored and where?

Your health data is stored on your device by default. We don't store your health data on our servers unless you explicitly opt into a feature that requires it (e.g. sync across devices). We document what we store and where in our Privacy & Security section.

What happens if I lose my phone?

If you lose your device, your data remains on that device (protected by your device passcode and encryption). If you had sync enabled, you may be able to access your data from a new device. We recommend using a strong device passcode and, where available, backup encryption. See our Security overview for more.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export your data in standard formats. You own your data and can take it with you at any time.

Does Dara share data with third parties?

We don't sell or share your health data with third parties without your explicit consent. You control whether your data is shared or sold. If you connect integrations (e.g. a fitness device), data may flow to those services according to their policies and your consent. We document integrations and data flows in our Integrations section.

Is Dara a medical device?

No. Dara is not a medical device. We don't make clinical or medical claims. We help you keep your health information in one place and understand yourself better—but we don't diagnose, treat, or replace professional medical advice.
